CURRICULUM

The program starts with four mandatory basic modules that cover the key aspects of microbiology both theoretically and practically. The semester ends with an oral exam covering the contents of the whole first semester. Thereby, we ensure

that all students are on the same level of knowledge by the end of the first semester.

In the second semester, students chose from a wide variety of elective modules to deepen their knowledge in certain aspects of microbiology on a theoretical and practical basis.

​

The third and fourth semester are very research-oriented, with two modules that lead up to the final master’s thesis.

 

For enthusiastic students, the second, third and fourth semester even offer opportunities to go abroad.
